He was admitted to the Bar of England & Wales, admitted as barrister of the Supreme Court in the State of Victoria, and barrister of Singapore. He served as deputy judge of the High Court of Hong Kong, special judge of the Court of First Instance of the High Court, and Chairman of the Copyright Tribunal. He is honored as the Silver Bauhinia Star and Gold Bauhinia Star of Hong Kong SAR, Justice of the Peace and was member of the National Committee(10th to 12th) and Vice Chairman of the Social and Legal Affairs Committee (12th) of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
