Justice of the Peace of Hong Kong, Hong Kong member of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, Doctoral Supervisor and Director of Law School and Dean of Credit Risk Management Institute of Xiangtan University. He is also former Deputy Dean of the School of Law of the City University of Hong Kong, visiting scholar at the Faculty of Law of Ruhr University Bochum in Germany, and visiting professor at the University of Vienna, Austria. He was Chair Professor at the first "Shanghai Oriental Scholar" of East China University of Political Science and Law.
