Grade A Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Renmin University of China. He is also a Distinguished Professor of the Changjiang Scholar Programme and a national candidate of New Century Talent Project and enjoys the special government allowance of the State Council. He once served as Executive Vice President of Renmin University of China, deputy to the 9th, 10th and 11th National People's Congress, member of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the 9th National People's Congress, and member of the Constitution and Law Committee of the 10th and 11th National People's Congress. He is Vice President of China Law Society, President of the Civil Law Research Society under China Law Society. He is also one of the first batch of experts of the International Commercial Expert Committee of the Supreme People's Court.
